I must admit, I am rather a makeup snob, in the sense that I enjoy higher end brands and luxury items when it comes to my makeup bag. But Makeup Revolution are a budget makeup brand that have got it spot on. I'd like to share a few bits I picked up from Superdrug last week.
Focus and Fix Concealer in Fair | £2
Given the fact that I suffer with under-eye darkness, I am always on the look out for budget concealer and something that is going to be a spot on dupe for Nars Vanilla. I have used this concealer for under the eyes but find it a little drying, even with the yellow tone. I do like it for in the corner of my eyes, and to highlight with.
Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar | £6
Blush is something I don't often go crazy for, but this palette is so pretty I couldn't resist! Many of these shades are very subtle and glowing, perfecting for using as a blusher-come-highlight.
I <3 Makeup Naked Chocolate | £7.99
So I'm not going to lie, I was completely sucked in by this palette's beautiful packaging. A total dupe for the Too Faced chocolate palette, this is a must have for chocoholics and eyeshadow-holics alike!
There are some beautiful shades like "Wonka" a rich matte brown and "Smoothly" a light, shimmer shade perfect for the brow bone.
Salvation Intense Lip Lacquer| £3
Out of the entire range from MV that I have tried so far, I definitely favour the Lip Lacquers. The trend for matte, liquid lipsticks is everywhere and these products fit perfctly in to that trend. I can eat, drink and go about my day as usual not having to worry about smudging, bleeding or general wearing off.
I chose a nude, everyday shade called "What I Believe" and an autumnul, dark shade "Velvet Vamp", but the collection has a large range including some fab red shades.
In the above picture, I have teamed What I Believe with a nude lip liner underneath. For the price, I think these lip lacquers are incredible quality and because they are so affordable, I can pick up every colour in the collection!
