Kat Von D Lock It Concealer Creme| Shade Light 3 |RRP £20
This concealer was originally tried and tested way back in 2014 and the product boasted that it could cover even tattoos. Testing it on my thigh tattoo, the coverage was enough to conceal my coloured rose. I'm not sure why they have re-packaged the concealer from the handy little tube into the wand/tube formula (I think because there is way less product in the new packaging) but I'm willing to let it slide as the concealer works wonders.
Kat Von D Lock It Concealer promises to brighten under-eyes, cover any blemishes, correct discoloration, neutralise redness, contour and highlight with just a few strokes. Phew! So does it actually deliver?
I tend to use concealer mainly on my undereyes as I don't really have many blemishes on my skin that foundation doesn't smoothe out. As an undereye concealer, it is definitely thicker in consistency compared to any other concealer out there, such as Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I find I do need to moisturise my undereye with a hydrating eye cream before application too, to ensure there is enough moisture underneath. I apply a swipe of the concealer under each eye, applying directly from the wand in a triangle shape, from the center corner to the outer edge of my eye. Then I blend out with a damp beauty blender and I'm done.
In comparison to the original Lock It concealer in the tube (which is still available exclusively at Sephora Online) it is more difficult to blend out. The original formula was way more liquid and thinner in consistency, but I felt was way more pigmented.
Now don't get me wrong. This concealer works wonders and is something I wouldn't be without on an everyday basis. No other concealer I own gives coverage quite like it.
Kat Von D Lock It Brigtening Powder| Shade Petal| RRP £19
To accompany my concealer I decided to go for the Kat Von D Lock It Brightening Powder which launched in Spring this year. This powder not only sets your concealer in place leaving a crease-free undereye area, but it works on brightening the area too.
I already own the Kat Von D Lock It face powder and a tiny dust of that goes a long way, but I noticed I only use it under my eyes lately so a product specifically for that area is perfect for me. The powder comes in three shades, golden, peach and petal. I opted for petal which is great for lighter skin tones. The powder itself feels weightless and doesn't cake at all, leaving a smoothe canvas over your concealer. I use a fluffy brush (pictured above) to dust a small amount under eyes once my concealer is set.
It's a fantastic product that will be a permanent fixture in my makeup bag but my only gripe with it is the internal packaging. I feel the sifting holes are a little large for the product as you only require a small amount. I have had to cut a small cardboard circle to sit under the lid of the powder to prevent the fallout and mess the large holes create.
A little more about the Kat Von D counter in Debenhams..
So I was served by a really helpful staff member who walked me through my purchase at the checkout. However, I pointed out that another colleague had given her customer a Kat Von D makeup bag and so I asked if they were for sale. She seemed reluctant to give me one of the promotional makeup bags which contained a miniature Lock It Liner. It is so aggravating when makeup counters aren't consistent with all customers, or pick and choose which customers to give their freebies to. Other than that small let down, the counter is great and Kat's products more than promote themselves.
Great Information sharing .. I am very happy to read this article .. thanks for giving us go through info.Fantastic nice. I appreciate this post. Littlerock Locksmith
