I want to share with you all a personalised cake that I received from the guys at Bakerdays. I can honestly say there is nothing worse than having to wait for a parcel and know that it needs signing for, or worrying about getting a gift to someone in time for their birthday. This is where Bakerdays come in super handy and why the concept of a postbox cake is so ingenious!
Here is my first impressions unboxing video!
What you get
As you can see, the entire cake is presented beautifully, from the tin the cake arrived in to the little special touches of the balloons and candles, Bakerdays really gonthe extra mile to make the delivery feel special. The cake itself measures 12cm diameter x 2.5cm high, and can be cut into 4-6 slices (depending on if you're greedy like me!)
Personalisation
The personalisation process was really enjoyable, and the design is printed over the entire cake in icing and I chose the wording for the top of the cake. You can also go with a personalised image too if you like and there are heaps of lovely designs to choose from. I chose the flavour which was a normal sponge but chocolate, lemon and dairy/gluten free are also available.
Value
For £14.99 it is a little on the pricier end of the scale for a small cake but I think it's worth every penny to have a cake sent to someone you love or a friend, which is personal to them and delivered right through their letterbox. Nobody could resist a big smile if a Bakerdays cake landed on their doorstep!
