When it comes to the festive season, I always look forward to finding a new outfit to wear on Christmas Day and for the office party. This year I was determined to find something I could wear more than just once, to only one party. Looking for something versatile that is appropriate for both evening and day time might seem difficult, but when teaming it with some everyday pieces you may already own, it’s easier than you think.
I managed to find my perfect Christmas party dress from Oasis. They have the most beautiful party pieces in their collection right now that are bang on trend, ranging from velvet dresses to sequin animal print.
The Midi Star Dress is my pick for the festive season with a high neck, ruffle hem and balloon sleeves. The print features rainbow stars and it has a button back fastening. For size reference, I got this in a medium and I’m a size 12/14.
Twist the night away
I’m thinking the work Christmas party where you want to feel sassy or even for a Christmas Day dinner, I would wear this look. Top tip: Adding a pair of killer heels to any outfit immediately gives me more confidence.

3. Change up your makeup with a full glitter eye or a red lipstick (I LOVE a red lipstick at Christmas)
Festive after work drinks
Heading out right from the office but you need a little bit of a refresh? This look works for the office and beyond. Tone it down with a boot or even pair a jumper over the top of the dress, whip off the jumper in the evening and change up the shoes for a totally new look.
1. Pair it with a classy pair of Pull on Sock Boots (these are £45 from Oasis and are true to size, I wear a size 5)
2. Add a hat! It can totally change up an outfit easily
3. Wear with a teddy coat or even a faux leather jacket
Christmas shopping & lunch date
Casual mooch around town and a stroll around the Christmas market? This look is cool and practical for the time you want to look put together whilst still keeping it casual.
1. Throw on your favourite chunky boot! I opted for my go to Dr Martens
2. Add a clashing printed belt
3. Grunge it up with a darker lip and some statement earrings
